APU’s Ramadan Fest 2025 transformed the campus into a vibrant celebration of Malaysian culture and community, featuring a bustling bazaar, a solemn Khatam Al-Quran ceremony led by diverse reciters, and a generous distribution of traditional Ramadan delicacies, culminating in congregational Isyak and Taraweeh prayers, showcasing the university’s inclusive spirit and international community.

As the crescent moon heralded the arrival of Ramadan, the vibrant student community at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) eagerly embraced the holy month.
Far from a time of quiet reflection alone, they transformed the campus into a bustling hub of communal celebration.
This year’s Ramadan Fest 2025, orchestrated by Permuafakatan Siswa Siswi FELDA (PERSADA) APU, aimed to capture the very essence of Malaysia’s beloved Ramadan Bazaars.
“Our vision was to create an event that not only celebrated the richness of Malaysian culture and the spirit of Ramadan, but also fostered a lasting sense of mutual respect and appreciation across our diverse student community,” shared Ms Izni Illiyyin Abd Aziz and Ms Nurul Hasmira Mohd. Yusof, APU PERSADA’s dedicated Club Advisor and Co-Advisor.
The heart of the festivity pulsed along the APU Spine, stretching to the Atrium on level three.

Ten lively booths sprang up, each a miniature marketplace, drawing in a hundred students who enthusiastically participated in the bazaar and the solemn Khatam Al-Quran ceremony.
The Khatam Al-Quran, a deeply moving spiritual experience, resonated throughout the Atrium.
Seven skilled reciters, a blend of local and international voices, led the ceremony: Hafiy Ziyad Zikry Suhairul Afzan (Lead - Malaysia), Yousef Nasem Ali Alzbaji (Egypt), Ahmad Adib Arham Ahmad Suffian (Malaysia), Abdulrahman Kareem Sameer Almansy (Yemen), Akif Ayyash Mohd. Arif (Malaysia), Adam Mukhriz Mohd. Nazri (Malaysia), and Muhammad Hazimi Saberi (Malaysia).
Their harmonious recitation created an atmosphere of profound serenity.
Beyond the bazaar, the spirit of generosity shone brightly. The ‘Special Free Daily Distribution Ihya’ Ramadan’ held at APU’s Centre Point, saw students sharing the traditional delights of Ramadan.

A generous distribution of Kuih Seri Muka (60 portions), savoury Kuih Karipap (100 portions), and the fragrant, comforting Bubur Lambuk (120 portions) brought smiles and sustenance to fellow students.
In the evening, after the congregational Isyak prayer, the ceremony continued with the Taraweeh prayer which was also attended by Muslim students from various countries.
“Seeing students from all over the world experience our culture — that is what made this Ramadan Fest so special,” explained Muhammad Danial Fitri Mohd. Khairizal, added, “It is a chance to truly connect.”
Nor Hidayah Muhammad shared the joy of the vibrant atmosphere, “After a long day of classes, it is wonderful to just step into the Fest, grab some delicious food, and breaking fast with my friends. It is so lively!”
“We were thrilled to share a taste of Yemen with everyone,” said Eslam Saif Asaad Abdulwahad, President of the APU Yemeni Community Club. “Seeing people from different countries enjoy our traditional dishes was incredibly rewarding.”
