Eshwar Evan Dmitry Klokol, a foundation student at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), has achieved significant global powerlifting recognition in 2025, having secured a spot among the top 28 powerlifters worldwide in the 16–17-year-old men’s category and top 41 in the Under-18 category, while also becoming an official Malaysian National Record Holder, and plans to compete in the 2026 National and Asian Championships.

A remarkable young talent, Eshwar Evan Dmitry Klokol, has recently garnered significant attention in the powerlifting world, securing impressive rankings on both the Malaysian national stage and in the global arena.
The 16-year-old, who turns 17 this August, is a foundation student at Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU).
Eshwar, the eldest of three siblings, was born in Ukraine before moving to Malaysia.
In his early life was marked by a commitment to fitness, beginning with squash at the tender age of five.
This active lifestyle laid the groundwork for his dedicated pursuit of powerlifting and bodybuilding, a path he firmly set his sights on at 13.
His training, diet, sleep, and travel schedule are rigorously maintained, a testament to his discipline, instilled by his father’s foundational guidance and the expert coaching of Coach Hisham Tarmizi from Strength Academy, Petaling Jaya.
Eshwar’s dedication has culminated in a series of exceptional achievements in 2025, for which he has received global and national recognition.
Eshwar is now ranked among the Top 28 powerlifters globally in the 16 & 17-year-old men’s category by total lift.
In the broader Under-18 men’s category, Eshwar has secured a spot among the Top 41 lifters worldwide by total lift.
Eshwar has also made history by becoming an official Malaysian National Record Holder in Powerlifting Malaysia.
A year of outstanding achievements

When asked about his journey and recent successes, Eshwar, currently pursuing a Foundation in Computer Science at APU, stated that it was his third time competing in the recent National Powerlifting Championships.
“Consistency since I was 12, had athletic background and blessed genetics,” he said.
He also highlighted the importance of his support system, “Family and close friends will always be there to support you. That is when you find out who is real and fake.”
On his feelings about his national records, Eshwar expressed immense satisfaction, “Definitely, felt amazing to break almost all national records in my category, let alone win. I am way ahead of my competition.”
He also sees a tangible benefit to his performance, confirming, “Keeping this performance up would grant me an even larger scholarship when I compete at Asians or even world championships.”
Looking ahead, Eshwar is already setting his sights on future competitions.
“Malaysian Powerlifting Association is having National Champs 2026 in January, and Asian Championships in May,” he added, “I would like to say yeah, I will be competing pretty soon.”
Beyond the weights, Eshwar also showcases a diverse range of talents, including playing the Carnatic Harmonium and Keyboard.
His dedication to both his academic pursuits at APU and his demanding powerlifting regime makes Eshwar Evan Dmitry Klokol a truly inspiring young athlete to watch.
