The Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) Badminton Club recently celebrated a significant victory at the Asics MASISWA Badminton Championship 2025, an inter-university tournament that saw APU’s athletes showcase exceptional talent. 

Among the standout performers, Ethan Loh Lik Tiem distinguished himself by securing a coveted Silver medal in the Men’s Singles event.

Ethan’s journey to the podium was a testament to his dedication and skill, culminating in this individual honour awarded by the tournament organisers. 

Following his impressive performance, Ethan shared his thoughts on the competition and his achievement:

“It was an incredibly challenging tournament, with so many talented players from universities across Malaysia,” Ethan added, “Every match pushed me to my limits, and I truly felt myself growing with each point.”

Reflecting on his silver medal, Ethan expressed both joy and motivation.

“Winning this silver medal is a huge honour, not just for me, but for APU and our Badminton Club. It validates all the hard work and countless hours of training we put in. 

“While the goal is always gold, this silver fuels my determination to work even harder for future competitions.”

He also acknowledged the crucial role of his team, “The support from my teammates and coaches was invaluable. We trained together, cheered each other on, and that team spirit really helped carry us through the tough moments. This medal is as much theirs as it is mine.”
