Assistant Professor Ts Dr Vinesha Selvarajah had been appointed as an EXCO Member of the WOMEN-in-TECH Wisdom Council under the ASEAN CXO Association (ACXOA), supporting inclusive digital transformation across Southeast Asia, while continuing to lead initiatives through ASIGWISE that advanced and empowered women in cyber security across Malaysia.

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation’s (APU) School of Technology (SoT) Assistant Professor, Ts Dr Vinesha Selvarajah, has been appointed as an EXCO Member of the WOMEN-in-TECH Wisdom Council under the ASEAN CXO Association (ACXOA), a premier regional leadership platform that unites C-level executives across Southeast Asia to drive inclusive, resilient, and sustainable digital transformation.
The appointment reflects the growing importance of gender diversity in the digital economy.
Within ACXOA’s mission, it is emphasised that diversity is not optional but a competitive advantage, with gender-balanced tech leadership contributing to greater innovation, stronger organisational performance, and more inclusive solutions for society.
The empowerment of women in technology remains essential in closing ASEAN’s digital skills gap and preparing a future-ready region.
In her role, Dr Vinesha brings extensive expertise as a cyber security and digital forensics specialist, academic leader, and industry advocate at APU.
She has contributed significantly to ethical hacking education, cyber security training, and industry collaboration, while also serving as the Industry Liaison Head for Technology programmes.
She is also recognised as a strong advocate for women in cyber security as the founder and leader of APU’s Special Interest Group of Women in Security (ASIGWISE).
Through ASIGWISE, she continues to lead initiatives that advance and empower women in cyber security across Malaysia.

She actively promotes gender equality in the field, initiates ‘Men as Allies’ forums, and encourages greater participation of women in cyber security and digital technology.
Speaking on her appointment, Dr Vinesha said that she was deeply honoured to join the WOMEN-in-TECH Wisdom Council as part of the ASEAN CXO Association.
“This platform represents an important opportunity to amplify women’s voices in technology and to foster stronger, more inclusive digital ecosystems across the region,” she said.
She believes meaningful change happens when diversity is not only encouraged but embedded in leadership and decision-making.
“Through collaboration between academia, industry, and regional partners, we can close the digital skills gap and empower the next generation of women in technology to lead with confidence, innovation, and purpose.”
Beyond cyber security, she has also contributed as a thought leader and speaker on ethical AI, health informatics, and inclusive digital ecosystems.
Her appointment strengthens ACXOA’s commitment to inclusive leadership and sustainable innovation across the region.
The appointment also aligns with the upcoming PROPEL 2026 initiative, the official launch and flagship annual forum of ACXOA, scheduled to take place from 7 to 8 July 2026 in Singapore under the theme ‘Change is Constant: Towards an Innovative, Sustainable and Digitally Inclusive ASEAN’.
The organisers welcome sponsors, partners, and regional leaders to support the initiative and participate in shaping the future of ASEAN’s digital economy.
