Gracing the event, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, emphasised the urgent need for a more equitable economic model that prioritises inclusivity and fairness.

He called for what he termed a “humane economy,” criticising existing frameworks that disproportionately favour large corporations while neglecting the marginalised.

Not only that, he also highlighted that the current economic system allows the wealthy to reap all the benefits while the marginalised are left struggling.

“It is essential that we work collaboratively to create a balanced economy that uplifts all segments of society,” he stressed, adding that it is crucial to ensure that no one is left behind in the pursuit of progress.

The involvement of APU at the Khazanah Megatrends Forum 2024 underscores its pivotal role in shaping the future workforce of Malaysia, contributing to a sustainable and innovative economy that benefits all stakeholders involved.

In particular, the APU Career Centre plays a vital role in this mission by equipping students with essential skills and knowledge, ultimately ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving job market and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s economic growth.
