
Recently, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) Psychology Society held its committee reshuffling ceremony to mark the beginning of the new term.
The newly formed APU Psychology Society 2025/2026, led by Ms Dhevaania C Gendsen (Lecturer, SoP at APU) and Ms Amirah Husna Mohamad Hata Abdullah (Psychology Lab Technician, SoP at APU), aspires to transform the student community by fostering leadership with purpose.
The mission is to empower students to serve both the APU community and the wider society through meaningful engagement and initiatives.
The ceremony symbolised a pivotal moment of renewal and progress, setting the stage for a vibrant new chapter dedicated to student development, academic engagement, and mental health awareness.
Graced by members of the school and society alumni, the ceremony served not only as a platform for appreciation of the outgoing committee’s contributions, but also as a launchpad for the newly appointed leadership team to share their vision and commitment.
The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt address from the outgoing committee, reflecting on the accomplishments of the previous term.
From impactful mental health initiatives to collaborative academic workshops, the past year was marked by dedication, creativity, and resilience.

A highlight of the ceremony was the address by Ms Vinorra Shaker (Head, SoP at APU), who commended the society for its ongoing contributions to student development and mental health advocacy.

She also expressed confidence in the newly appointed committee’s ability to foster community engagement, drive impactful initiatives, and strengthen ties between academia and industry.
