APU Game Lab & Studio

The Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) has achieved another milestone in its thriving tech ecosystem with the launch of its most advanced and modern Game Development Lab & Studio.
In line with APU being established as the Premier Game Development University in Malaysia, this new high-end facility is designed to mirror professional international game development studios. It serves as both a dynamic teaching and learning environment for APU’s industry-centric game development programmes, as well as a key operational hub supporting APU’s role as the Ministry of Higher Education’s designated e-Sports Focus Centre for Malaysia.
This facility prepares students for careers in high-growth fields such as Game Development, interactive media, simulation technology, digital content creation, and immersive experience design. Equipped with cutting-edge, high-performance workstations powered by RTX 5070 GPUs and Intel Core Ultra CPUs, the lab ensures students gain hands-on experience with the same tools and technologies used by industry professionals, right from day one.
Combined with the advantage of being taught by lecturers with real industry experience and deep ties to the game development ecosystem; and a curriculum designed in close collaboration with leading studios like Larian Studios (Belgium game studio), creators of Baldur's Gate 3, our game development programmes prepares students to excel in the industry.
