Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) has announced its partnership with P10 Holdings Sdn. The collaboration aims to update the Teaching & Learning (T&L) facilities and empower capacity building of the APU Financial Trading Centre, a stock exchange, banking, and financial services talents incubator by its School of Accounting and Finance (SAF).

On May 10, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was signed by Prof. Ir. Eur. Ing. Ts. Dr. Vinesh Thiruchelvam, APU’s Chief Innovation and Enterprise Officer, and Mr. Alan Lim Wai Loong, Chief Executive Officer of P10 Holdings Sdn. Bhd. The signing ceremony was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Chong Lee Lee, Head of APU’s School of Accounting and Finance, and Mr. Chan Chee Kong, Finance Manager of P10 Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

The MoA signing marks a significant milestone in the partnership, as both parties aim to raise financial awareness, promote financial education, and drive financial literacy among young Malaysians. “As an education partner, P10 will offer a Financial Intelligence System that creates a fun and interactive environment for lecturers and students alike,” said Mr. Alan Lim.

The Financial Intelligence System is a portal designed to simplify complex financial calculations and provide quick and accurate results related to financial transactions, investments, loans, retirement, asset management, and other financial scenarios.

“We are delighted to have P10 as our strategic working partner, as this partnership aligns with APU’s mission to provide financial education with state-of-the-art technology that can greatly enhance the learning experience and ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the complexities of the financial world. This will accelerate their immense creativity and innovation and further prepare them for future-proof careers,” added Prof. Dr. Vinesh.

The partnership will facilitate knowledge sharing through joint workshops, seminars, train-the-trainer sessions, and mutual visits for undergraduates, faculty members, and working staff of both parties. In addition to T&L facilities and capacity building at APU Financial Trading Centre, both parties will work together to foster financial literacy and education in Malaysia.

The MoA signing ceremony was held at the APU campus located in Mranti Park, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
