BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT
In an era of global transformation, the demands placed upon business leaders to provide leadership and insights have become imperative. The Business & Management programmes at APU prepare students for a role that gives them an industry-relevant edge.
ENGINEERING
APU's Engineering Programmes are current in terms of technology and are market driven, and thus have great employment opportunities. Apart from technical knowledge, the programme modules enable students to build leadership skills, communication skills and these skills prepare them for the workplace as professional and confident engineers. APU Engineering Degrees are fully accredited by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) which is a signatory to the Washington Accord.
COMPUTING & TECHNOLOGY
The Computing & Technology programmes at APU is a part of the university's oldest and most established school. The school has a strong presence in the industry and is an obvious choice among the school leavers. APU offers a wide variety of specialised programmes that are very much industry driven and relevant; over the years, we have produced global citizens and industry-ready professionals.
DESIGN & CREATIVE MEDIA
Design lies behind everything we buy, use and desire. Good design is attractive, useable, practical and marketable. Good designers combine aesthetics with functionality, communications with entrepreneurialism, visual communications capability with effective written and spoken communications and the ability to work and empathise with others. Students of the APU Design & Creative Media programmes will be exposed to hands-on practical learning experiences in developing visuals and graphics that communicate messages well.
ACCOUNTING & FINANCE
The Accounting and Finance programmes at APU are excellent springboards for students to launch their professional careers in accountancy or finance or to pursue further studies. They are well established, and are designed to provide a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of accounting, finance and related subjects. These programmes are well-accredited by professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CTIM, ICAEW and more.
MARKETING & TOURISM
These courses involve a wide range of subjects relevant to marketing, communications, tourism and hospitality from both the macro (global) and micro (organization) perspectives. Here at APU, we train our students to be confident and communicative through practical learning experiences such as industry visits, campaign planning and tour planning that are incorporated within the syllabus.
INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
International Relations is an exciting and important discipline of study. It addresses key issues associated with the way countries of the world co-exist in the face of rapid change. We are seeing huge technological changes that affect conflicts, communications, trade and culture. There is a mass movement of people and a growing sophistication of global economic networks, while the world is politically and territorially divided into states there are great inequalities between them. Through the international learning experience at APU, students will become more prepared to become global leaders by interacting with students who come from different cultural backgrounds, as we promote cultural sensitivity and cultural exchange within our multinational students' community.
INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
Industrial Design Programmes @ APU will develop your abilities to work on your own and in a team in initiating and creating a wide range of products and promotional activities, including advertisements for print, broadcast, and online as well as display packaging and other promotional support tools. You will have hands-on practical learning experience in designing everything from toys, automotive vehicles, lighting and furniture to household goods and consumer technology, as well as branding materials and visual graphics that aid in brand communication. Regular presentation and tutorial sessions will equip you not only in terms of technical design skills, but also communication and presentation skills, which are essential for a successful designer with promising clientele.
MEDIA & COMMUNICATION STUDIES
Media & Communication Studies explore on getting the right messages across, be it mass communications or corporate communications. You will be trained under an internationalised & diverse environment on the concepts & applications of communication techniques, as well as strategies that can shape you into competent communications professionals.
ACTUARIAL STUDIES
APU’s Actuarial Studies programme is widely recognised by the Society of Actuaries (SOA), US and Institute of Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), UK. Be a part of the fast-growing Actuarial industry with us; APU is also listed amongst the top Asian universities to receive maximum block exemptions at IFoA.

Strategically located within Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil, the APU iconic campus is highly accessible via major highways & public transport. Designed by award-winning architects and contractors, the campus aims to provide students with a comfortable space to interact and exchange ideas. The campus features a covered "Spine" that stretches from the main entrance all the way to the far end of the Campus, which provides connectivity to the teaching blocks, courtyards, central atrium and living spaces. The central atrium space forms the central learning and social hub of the campus with large communal spaces, multipurpose hall and various other facilities like the main library, technology & engineering labs, study lounges and cooperative learning discussion rooms.
